Beardow Adams was founded in 1977 by Bob Adams and Len Beardow and is privately owned. In 1996 the company acquired Pertec Adhesives and in 2001 bought a minority shareholding in Paniker SL, an adhesive manufacturer based in Barcelona, Spain. In 2004 the company acquired a controlling interest in Paniker SL.
