Adhesives for product assembly applications

Beardow Adams’ high performance hot melt adhesives – which include our PRODAS™ range for product assembly – have set new standards to meet the demands of designers and engineers involved in the production of domestic, commercial and industrial products.

By working closely with our customers and world class suppliers, we have developed formulations which use the latest advances in raw material technology, resulting in hot melts with market leading performance for heat, chemical, impact and vibration resistance and high bond strength – adhesives with ambient shear strength capabilities of over 1,000 N/25 mm².

Hot melt adhesives will bond almost any substrate, pervious or impervious, rapidly and cost effectively. They can speed up production, save factory space and reduce pollution, with
virtually no waste in manufacture. They are widely used throughout the industrialised world.
Hot melts give a tough bond by spreading their strength over the entire bonding surface and
enhance product appearance by replacing nails, screws and other forms of fixing. They are
ideally suited to robotic application systems. Hot melts are neither hazardous, toxic nor flammable. They do not contain solvents and are 100% solid, making their handling, storage, transportation and use easy, safe and reliable – without harming the environment. Many can be spray applied as replacements for solvent based adhesive systems.

Product manufacturers choose hot melt adhesive technology because it:

  • Drives innovation
  • Improves product appearance
  • Helps to build in toughness
  • Simplifies the manufacturing process
  • Lowers manufacturing costs
  • Keeps them one step ahead of the competition!
