Woodworking adhesives – edgebanding
Beardow Adams' new high performance edgebanding hot melt adheives have been formulated to have increased adhesion to a bigger range of difficult substrates with resulting bonds achieving far greater heat resistance than current EVA based hot melts. With some grades having heat resistance up to 150°C, they can bond a wide variety of substrates to ensure total chip failure.
No wonder Beardow Adams hot melts are widely used throughout Europe, the Americas and South East Asia – on high quality domestic and office furniture.
Materials bonded include:
- Melamine impregnated papers
- PVC foils and lippings
- HPL
- Wood veneer
- Solid wood
Heat resistance in excess of 100°C according to BS 6250 Part 3 has been achieved on unprimed HPL (1.2mm) edgings without spontaneous delamination.
