Adhesives from BRCGS-approved Facilities
Adhesives for packaging is one of our biggest sectors here at Beardow Adams. Today, nearly everything you purchase – whether that’s in store or online – comes in some form of packaging. The food and drink industry represents a great proportion of the world’s packaging, and we as a global adhesive manufacturer take pride in supplying our high-performance adhesives to food and drink packaging manufacturers all over the globe.
In 2016, we became the first adhesive manufacturer in the world to be granted the BRCGS packaging certification. A year later, we became the first adhesive company in the world to achieve the ‘A grade' BRCGC packaging certification. In straightforward terms, this means we manufacture packaging adhesives to a food grade standard; the certification ensures adhesives are produced in an environment suitable for use in the food and beverage market.
The British Retail Consortium Global Standards' (BRCGS) packaging certification (formerly BRC) is a globally recognised award which ensures good manufacturing processes and a commitment to delivering the highest standards. Beardow Adams holds BRCGS certification for its BAMFutura™ packaging line as well as a number of other non-BAMFutura grades.
Beardow Adams’ best-selling BAMFutura range can offer food and drink manufacturers advantages such as a versatile performance, high thermal stability, and cost savings with clean-running, low-odour, easy-to-handle adhesives with no char and superior adhesion to a wide range of materials.
Our food-approved adhesives are suitable for many different applications in the food and beverage packaging industry. BAMFutura 1 has been proven to be an excellent universal carton and case sealer. BAMFutura 44 is a great adhesive for coffee cups due to its high heat resistance. BAMFutura 55 is our adhesive for aseptic packaging.
